Interviews
Making the Best Impression

Dr. Elizebeth Harmon, Founder, Gynecologist
Can we get real for a moment? When you look in the mirror, do you always like what you see? If you’re like me and most women I know, there are probably things about yourself you’d like to change. Even the most beautiful women in the world can rattle off a list of flaws. After all, we’re our own worst critic right?
Whether we like it or not, we live in a world where looks matter. How we present ourselves is important and how we look also impacts how we feel about ourselves. That’s exactly why I created Bella Rose Medispa—to help women in our community be at their best.
The importance of looks in our culture may seem superficial, but it’s a reality. It’s even a big factor in the job market. I think we’re all aware just how tough it is these days to find a job. Highly qualified people are out of work and applicants for jobs are facing tougher competition than ever before. Even here in Salem, people are having to go to Portland or other communities to look for work.
First impressions make lasting impressions. In addition to your resume, it’s important to set yourself apart from other candidates with your overall appearance. If you arrive at an interview with a neat, confident and modestly stylish appearance, an interviewer is bound to have a good impression of you. If you arrive and you’re simply not put together and lacking confidence, you’ll pale in comparison to the other applicants.
I encourage all women to take stock of themselves and think about those things they’d like to change, especially if you’re out there looking for a job. We all have insecurities about our looks. Maybe for you it’s your hips or your chin or your stomach. Maybe it’s your not-so-straight teeth or your hairstyle or those pesky wrinkles. Perhaps your skin is not as clear as it could be. Or maybe it’s those extra 15, okay 25, pounds.
When we’re unhappy about our appearance, we often lack confidence and that is definitely not the way you want to come across in a job interview. If you’re currently looking for a new job or maybe you’re up for a big promotion at work, I encourage you to call us about our corporate makeover service. We can help you make many of the changes on your “list” whether it’s helping you with weight loss, laser treatments, skin care or Botox®. We will also consult with you on your overall interview look from your hair and makeup to your interview outfit to ensure you look your best. Our goal is to help you stand out from the crowd!
Make no mistake ladies, this is not about being the most beautiful woman in the world or in the room for that matter! This is about enhancing your appearance and instilling in you a greater confidence in yourself. When we look our best, we feel our best and therefore are at our best!
